Indiana Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
However, only cuts to defense that are needed. I'm not going to cut back the entire military and I just wish it to be known that I can change my mind if I am given enough EVIDENCE. We don't need an base in Puerto Rico because Cuba inst a threat. We don't need to be involved in Syria and waste our money overseas in some areas. I WILL NOT CUT VETERAN BENEFITS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I CAN'T AGREE with the nearly 800 billion dollars of waste that is missing in the department of defense.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
I'm not going to take away free speech because a group has more money than the other.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Unless federal spending directly DECREASES public and private costs over time. If there is enough evidence that federal spending will do more good than bad, that is fine. However, for me, I have to look at everything in a case by case basis. Minimum Tax Law is the best solution we have for the working class. It will increase productivity and more wealth for the working and lower classes.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Common Core and mandatory testing, along with the student loan bubble are the biggest mistakes in our generations history. I can't tell people enough just how horrible it is to see so many people my age drowned in student loans, watching their children indoctrinated, and having teachers receive lower wages due to mandatory testing standards that no child has any incentive to do good on. The DOE isn't needed. And Education should be purely a state issue.
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I don't think CC is the problem. I think pollution and conservation are the top priorities for environmentalism. Here is a video that summarizes my thoughts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysh8i7Oprt0
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Every gun regulation that Democrats propose ends up killing more people than saving. I will forever be a defender of our 2nd Amendment and I challenge any anti-gun control advocate.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I am the only Republican in my race, who is a true reformer. https://www.numbersusa.com/candidate-comparison/election/2018/congressional/house/in-04
Yes Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Yes Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
1. Immigration 2. Opioid Crisis 3. Gun Rights and Public Safety 4. Tax and Regulatory Reform 5. Pollution and Conservation
